Data Forum: Gaps and opportunities

Oct. 10, 2019

How do we combine data to build inequality and vulnerability indicators? How do we use online data in order to study the skills and jobs of tomorrow? How do modern cities use data for informed policy-making? Does air pollution influence migration?

These are some of the questions discussed at the CELSI-#WageIndicator Data Forum organized within #InGrid project which took place on October 10-11 in Bratislava.

Calls for open and harmonized data for research and policy making, with clear rules for access have been expressed. Among the main takeaways of the round table discussion were: no data set is perfect; but we must rigorously study them. Methods, findings and limitations have to be reported transparently in order to ask better research questions in the future.
